end of tour reflect:
this is the first image we ever shared. it is the original artwork for loud(y). a photo that max took near his parent’s home in panama. that song + this photo were our first footprint on the world. we released them almost exactly two years ago to the day.
in many ways, our lives have come to mirror this image: accelerating down the road, peripheral vision blurring. we’ve now played 156 shows across all of u.s. + europe. we’ve lived out dreams we created together as twelve year olds in max’s basement. and it’s been both viscerally real, and entirely surreal all at once.
we are indebted to all that showed up. travelled long hours. stood in line. wrote letters. made gifts. inked themselves (!!!). and gave us support in these early days. we are thankful for our chosen family. a band and crew that anchored us day in/day out. grinding tirelessly and adopting our passion. and we are grateful for the opportunity to express ourselves wholly each time we step on stage. it is a unique privilege. we look forward to returning to it soon.
for now it’s back to basics. new music in the sightline. take care.
